Most of our vineyards are more than 850 meters above sea level and are organic. We established these vineyards with Bernard Grandchamp, one of the world’s leading oenologists, looking for the best soil, climate and meteorological conditions and choosing only the best locations.
The first thing we did was to set up a meteorological station. We used the meteorological station to measure and study heat, humidity and the temperature beneath the soil. We analyzed the water and the soil.
We now have 70,000 vine stocks, and with new planting this will reach 100,000 within two or three years.
Our vineyard is in the Çay district of Moralılar Village, 10 kilometers from Akhisar. The vineyard occupies 1,5 hectares of a 3,2 hectare tract. There is a distance of 3 meters between the vine rows, and the vines in each row are spaced 1.5 meters apart. The Selendi vineyard allows us to produce between 5,000 and 7,000 bottles of wine, depending on weather conditions. The Selendi vineyard is on flat land, 70 meters above sea-level. We water our vineyard with the Netafim drip irrigation system, using water from our own deep well.
